I think the paper voice coil Alnico 25 watt is the best speaker I've ever used before and I am not exaggerating. I put a 10" version in a Vibro Champ I built and it turned it into an entirely different amplifier. I am beyond happy with this and the midnight series ceramic speakers.

I bought the speaker to offset the g10 gold in my 2x10 5e3 tweed deluxe type amp. Keeps up in volume and cut despite the mid scoop compared to the g10 gold. Now my amp has all the sweet frequencies and articulation in one amp.

Note: The speaker just keeps getting better as it is breaking in. The more I smash it with a cranked fuzz face the better it sounds over time. Just keeps warming up. I’m getting more of a solid punch, high end sweetness, and low end over time all while retaining the bite and “airyness” of the paper voice coil. If you’re patient enough to let this speaker mature you will be rewarded.
