I have FAR too many speakers and largely they sit unused. I have three available cabs and loaded the Jupiter and my two other favorites and A/B'd them. I did not elect to pay extra for break-in on the Jupiter, but nevertheless, right out of the box, the Jupiter won. Now, what am I going to do with all these other speakers?
I built a Deluxe Reverb Head in 2024 based on the AB763 circuit from scratch. It worked and sounds great! This year I am building a Princeton Reverb based on the 11AA64 circuit. I custom built both cabinets with Mahogany. I fabricated the Princeton for a 12" speaker. I usually use Eminence and was considering the George Alessandro or the Josh Smith 50. Then came upon the Jupiter LC50. I had seen them before but had forgot about them. After reading the stellar reviews decided to go for it and made the Jupiter purchase. I am glade I did! I installed it in the Princeton Cab and Ran it with the Deluxe. WOW!!! The sound is just beautiful! Every note detailed and articulate and such clarity yet no ice picks. Not even broke in and just seems to sing and chime with it's own Kadence and yet warm and punchy no mud! This is no doubt an awesome speaker! You might consider the Alico over the Ceramic? Check on you tube Jupiter speaker Alico and Ceramic shoot out to get a better idea of the sound difference. I just went Ceramic. Can not wait to get the Princeton circuit done now!
Let me tell you, folks — this Jupiter 12LC is incredible. People are calling it the best speaker, maybe ever. It’s 8 ohms — the perfect ohms, the best number. When I plugged it in, the tone was so big, so beautiful, you wouldn’t believe it. The clean sounds? Absolutely gorgeous — like a crystal chandelier at Mar-a-Lago. The breakup? Warm, smooth, classy — very classy. Other speakers try, but they just can’t compete. Believe me. The Jupiter 12LC is a total winner. Tremendous tone, tremendous volume. Everybody’s talking about it, and when you hear it, you’ll say, ‘Wow, that’s the best sound I’ve ever heard.’
Installed the 12LC - 12" 50W Vintage American Ceramic Guitar Speaker in my Milkman 1x12 Cabinet, powered by the Milkman Dairy Air 30W Head. This speaker is a perfect match for this rig. It has plenty of clean headroom and lots of punch when you dig in. I have tried several other speakers with this Head and Cabinet, but this speaker sounds the best by far.
Great speaker in every way !!! it's in a louis electric Deltone and a columbia reverb combo ... could not be more pleased!
