Bought the 4-Ohm 8SC for my beloved Alamo, essentially a tweed Champ with a tone control. Had a Weber/Kendrick 8" ceramic speaker in it for years that was fine, but I loved the looks and reputation of the 8SC so much (and I had just installed one in a friend's '56 Champ) that I went for the new Jupiter speaker. And I'm really glad I did. Somehow I think the slightly smaller voice coil might give a crispness and chime that leans sonically into Alnico territory, while maintaining a sturdy low end response. I'm very pleased and this will be the last speaker the little Alamo will ever get on my watch!

This thing is incredible in my Vibrochamp. Beautiful sound after Marty Futara cleaned this little guy up and made it sing. He was so impressed he’s considering putting one in a 68 all original champ. Tone is amazing and the amp sound much fuller and bigger than it is.
